Yangarra Estate, 'PF' Shiraz, 2018, McLaren Vale, Australia

This is serious Shiraz. Absolutely knock out stuff here. Full of vibrant plummy fruit, high energy, uplifting, and smooth. There's oodles of flavour and structure and it even gets better with time. Shiraz built for Shiraz lovers. It's also a wine for Earth lovers: it's certified vegan, organic, and biodynamic and Yangarra take a lot of care in the making of this wine. It's a labour of love.

It's actually quite light on the palate for an Aussie Shiraz and shows elegance and class.

Yangarra estate has twelve individual blocks of Shiraz. Each block is defined by different aspects and subtle variations of the sand and Ironstone soils that overlie the ancient North Maslin Sands geological formation. PF stands for preservative free (and Peter Fraser, the winemaker). The PF Shiraz is made from grapes grown on Yangarra’s certified biodynamic single-estate vineyard, grown without herbicides, fungicides or synthetic chemicals. No additives were used for the wine’s entire production.
