Viña Von Siebenthal, 'Parcela #7', 2017, Aconcagua, Chile

£12.94 £16.99

This wine has subtle redcurrant and redberry-scented bouquet with touches of hazelnut and aromatic herbs. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins with flavours of black pepper, sage and a soft salinity. It is very well-balanced and fresh, with 14 months of oak ageing, though this is well integrated and executed beautifully. An extremely good bottle of Chilean wine, highly recommended!

Viña von Siebenthal's four main vineyards are in the historical wine-growing area of Panquehue, in the Aconcagua Valley. This is a very small sub-appellation of the Aconcagua Valley in Chile and one of the most exclusive and prestigious areas in Chile for the production of red and white Bordeaux varieties. The vines are cultivated using organic farming principles and careful respect for the environment. The yield is drastically reduced to intensify the aroma of the grapes. They are a top class Chilean producer.
