Storm, 'Wild Air', Sauvignon Blanc, 2019, Hemel-En-Aarde Valley, South Africa

Wild Air is a brilliant, zippy, concentrated Sauvignon with good textural depth to match its freshness. Elegance and texture abound. Very enjoyable and satisfying. This is a serious bottle of wine, very impressive and layered. One of our top picks!

Wild Air is a collaboration between Ben Henshaw and Hannes Storm (Storm Wines). The fruit comes from a small section of 20-year-old Sauvignon Blanc vines in a vineyard mainly planted with Pinot Noir.  Barrel fermented and inspired by the more restrained, textural styles of Sauvignon Blanc rarely made in South Africa, this is an outstanding wine with a small production.
