An approachable fruit centered Chianti from the Rufina area east of Florence. Ripe, jammy, spicy aromas with good crunchy acidity. Plummy on the palate. A good authentic and well made Chianti which won't break the bank.
The Grati family has been growing grapes and olives in Rùfina, just 30 km from Florence, for five generations. They own three estates: Prunatelli, Galiga and Vetrice, which extend over an area of 562 hectares on the hills between Pontassieve and Rùfina. One hundred hectares of this are dedicated to vineyards.
Grapes: Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo 7%, Colorino 3%
