This wine is an homage to Tom Peloton, who during the 1950s and 60s was arguably Britain's greatest cyclist. He tragically died in 1967 during the Tour de France that year.
Robust in flavour, ripe, lively and jam packed - this is a good solid Rhône red with the characteristic blackberry and plummy power with smooth tannins and a full body.
The wine is made in the region by a top quality producer and labelled specifically for the UK and imported. Some of the proceeds made by the importer go towards maintaining a memorial for Tom on Mount Ventoux, the stage where he sadly passed away.
