An unusual and interesting wine in limited supply.
Very bright and fruity, with violet floral aromas. Dry, mellow, and fresh. This is an italian version of the Beaujolais grape but produced slightly differently in a more southerly climate. This is for fans of Beaujolais or Italian reds, looking for something a bit different!
La Crotta di Vegneron is a relatively small regional co-operative based in the very North East of Italy, right on the border with France. Set up in 1980 with 25 partners, it now counts 70 partners and has reached a production of 200,000 bottles. They make a variety of wines from unusual grapes which thrive in this relatively unknown little corner of Italy.
