A really nice entry Malbec, and you can tell it's made a top class producer. You'd struggle to find better Malbec under £9 we think. The wine has an intense ruby colour and lifted red fruit aromas of plums and cherries. The palate is full of plum and raspberry fruit complemented by rounded silky tannins. Fantastic value, very popular, and a great everyday red choice.
The winery was founded in 1910 by Polish immigrant Don Sami Flichman. He purchased property in Barrancas (southern Maipú) and planted vines in rocky, well-drained plots situated along the Mendoza river. Today the wines are made by Germán Berra, one of Argentina’s brightest talents, who was recognised as the ‘Best Young Winemaker’ in the Argentina Wine Awards in 2016.
This wine is made from the 'left-over' fruit from across the Flinchman estate after they've used the highest grade for their top end wines. So what you get here is fantastic fruit and world class winemaking at a very affordable price.
