A crisp and elegant southern French red. Ripe red fruit and sweet spice aromas, a little flutter of smoke and vanilla on the palate with nice smooth and lengthy tannins. A really well made and approachable wine which has a little more 'oomph' than most medium reds. A traditional wine with 12 months oak ageing, hand harvesting, and indigenous yeast ferment.
Thierry Navarre is the winemaker and is a 3rd generation vignerons who works off a 13 hectare plot of Grenache and Carignan vines. He also has a passion for 'forgotten' varieties and has micro-plantings of varieties Terret, Grenache Gris, and Oeillades. A student of geology, he looks after the land and loves what the brown schist soils bring to his wines.
