A rich and dark coloured wine full of aromatic, spicy, and red berry aromas. Peppery, rich fruit flavours, with smooth tannins and ample structure. A great southern French red but at 13.5%, on the lighter side of life for the region, which is nicely approachable. Perfect with all manner of rich vegetable, game, or pork dishes.
Domaine de Roudène is a family run estate and has been going since 1615. It is located in the village of Paziols and the vines are situated over 30 hectares across different parcels of land. Hot dry summers, and strong winds, mean this is one of the driest parts of France. Hand harvesting and gentle extraction and maceration means the wines are elegant, soft, and not overly confected. The Domaine farm the land with the environment and longevity in mind.
