A full bodied, sun drenched Southern French red. Wild, grippy, touches of herb. No oak, pure, and lively. Like a walk along the cliffs - wild, brooding, and satisfying.
Gaillac is an interesting area of the South West of France (just north of Toulouse), and is quite tucked away and relatively unknown. However, it's an ancient area and local wines have been made since the Gauls and pre-Roman times. There are many unique and wonderful culinary delights down there. Wine is also part of that, and they embrace a variety of grapes and styles and they really do live their philosophies, avoiding too much influence from other wine regions.
