A good leafy and medium bodied Cabernet Franc. Hints of wet stone, cherries, and a gripping acidity race through the wine. Excellent Chinon that pairs light dishes very well. Highly Recommended.
Chinon is coming back into fashion after decades of being overlooked. Indeed, if you go to France, you'll find the wine often drunk in the day with light meals. People outside France are now recognising it's approachability, softness, and versatility.
The origin of Le Logis de la Bouchardière dates back to 1850. The current incumbent is Bruno Sourdais who represents the 6th generation on the domaine. Bruno joined his late father, Serge, in 1990, taking control from the 2008 vintage. La Logis de la Bouchardière forms the basis of the domaine’s production and comes from 30 year old organic vineyards.
