La Báscula, 'No Stone Unturned', Garnacha Cariñena, 2017, Catalunya DO, Spain

An absolutely stunning red wine from the Catalan region. A blend of three grapes which grow well in the area, this wine is packed with dark, complex, and spicy black fruit flavours and excellent aromas. A serious modern red from Spain. The rustic oak and sun drowned reds are slowly giving way to these exciting, modern, elegant, and innovative wines.

La Báscula is the name given to the Spanish wine range produced by Ed Adams MW and South African winemaker Bruce Jack. The term itself means weighing scales, and represents the balance between indigenous Spanish varieties and modern winemaking. Their philosophy is to focus on small volumes and really high quality - making wines that offer excellent value for money whilst being true to the regions they represent
