Cinsault is a maverick. The underdog. A grape that has never really been truly praised yet has been responsible for being the magic in the blends of some lovely wines, especially in Rosé, where it has traditionally been used. It's wild, untamed, and unique.
Winemakers are starting to understand it more, and now single varietal red wines are available to try. It's a great way to understand the beauty of Cinsault a bit better. It's usually a light, almost crunchy, fruity style of red which is really delicious.
