Biodynamics is still a growing field and it is developing as a movement. In it's simplest form, biodynamics is about steering away from mono-cultures, and embracing a more diverse ecosystem. This is turn provides healthier and more sustainable farming which brings quality product, longevity, and minimal earth impact.

For the wine world, biodynamics often means that vineyards may have different crops and animals allowed to wander free, and may harvest and prune in tune with natural earth cycles. There is also considerations for water use. While chemical use is not forbidden, it isn't seen very often, as this would undermine the whole biodynamic process.
